Cole + Laura| August 19, 2017 Wedding

Vernon, British Columbia

Cole & Laura. This is their story. And just like how every page of every novel has it's significance, so does every image.

This wedding was amazing for many reasons. Firstly, it took place in August, and August is my favorite month. Yeah, I have a favorite month. Secondly, Cole & Laura are simply a pair of stunners, plain and simple. Oh, and they're madly in love too.

Laura started her day off getting ready with her bridesmaids and mom at a house a few minutes from the Paddlewheel Hall in Vernon. Cole got ready with his lifelong buddies across town at his parent's home.

Tear's were shed (even me) as Laura walked down the isle with her dad - I have never seen a dad so proud. I could tell that in that moment it was so REAL for Laura. Watching her walk down the isle, witnessing her emotions, I could tell how present and how happy she was to be looking at Cole at the end. Cole, was not stop smiling at his beautiful bride.

After a lovely ceremony, family photos and bridal party shenanigans, it was time to steal the newlyweds away for some photos, and a few deep breaths. This part of the day I find SO beneficial. It allows the bride and groom to kind of absorb the fact that they are now married ! Weddings are busy and fast. This is the time to take a breath and regroup. Soak up all that newlywed bliss in quiet and tender moments.

After portraits, it was time to be introduced as Mr & Mrs. Geier for the 1st time. Welcomed into the Paddleweel Hall by close family & friends, it was time to celebrate !! After Laura's parents Dave & Lynn toasted to dinner, a delicious meal was served. After we were done eating, I quickly stole the beautiful couple away for some more pictures.  And holy moly, did magic happen. Poor Cole and Laura, they were so patient as I kept saying, "just one more" as I clicked away and probably took 100 more ! Oops ! But it was so worth it guys.

This dance floor was always bumping thanks to the DJ Steve Nagy. I have never laughed so hard watching people give their all on the dance floor. The highlight was when there was a ladies vs gentlemen dance off ! Foot stompin', hands clappin', and boody shakin', every guest was dancing in a celebratory way. Even the groom. Cole and his groomsmen didn't hold back, I saw dance moves that I have never seen before from these guys !

Thank you so much Cole & Laura for letting me basically be your 3rd wheel for your wedding day ! I was and still am in awe of the connection you two have, and it shows in the photos ! I have never laughed so hard during a reception. Thank you for sharing your day with me. I wish you two all of the happiness that marriage brings.
